1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by The Beauty Lounge ("we", "us", "our"), a home-based beauty salon operating in London, United Kingdom. By booking or receiving any treatment, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

2. Bookings & Appointments

All appointments are subject to availability and must be confirmed by us before they are considered finalised. We reserve the right to decline or refuse any booking at our sole discretion.

By making a booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or if under 18, that you have obtained parental or guardian consent and will be accompanied by a responsible adult during the appointment.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time to avoid disruption to subsequent bookings. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we reserve the right to treat the appointment as a no-show.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for all cancellations or changes to appointments.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the treatment price. This is to cover the cost of reserved appointment time that cannot be reallocated at short notice.

No-shows (failure to attend without notice) will be charged the full treatment price. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a requirement to pay a non-refundable deposit at the time of future bookings.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, illness, or emergencies. In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative appointment at no additional cost.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices listed on our website and treatment menu are in British Pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without prior notice; however, any changes will not affect bookings already confirmed at the previously advertised price.

Payment is due in full upon completion of each treatment unless otherwise agreed in advance. We accept cash and bank transfer. Additional payment methods may be made available and will be communicated at the time of booking.

Promotional offers and discounts cannot be combined with other offers unless expressly stated. We reserve the right to withdraw promotions at any time without notice.

5. Consultation & Patch Tests

Certain treatments require a consultation and/or patch test to be carried out at least 24–48 hours prior to your appointment. This includes, but is not limited to, tinting, lash lifts, and any treatment involving chemical products.

It is your responsibility to attend any required patch test. If a patch test has not been completed, we may be unable to carry out your treatment on the day and the cancellation policy will apply.

You must disclose any known allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, medications, or skin conditions that may affect the suitability or safety of a treatment. Failure to provide accurate information may result in treatment being refused, and we accept no liability for adverse reactions arising from undisclosed conditions.

6. Health, Safety & Contraindications

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue any treatment if, in our professional judgement, it would be unsafe or unsuitable for you. This may include but is not limited to pregnancy, skin conditions, infections, open wounds, sunburn, recent cosmetic procedures, or any other contraindication.

Please inform us of any changes to your health or medical circumstances since your last visit. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have recently undergone surgery, please advise us at the time of booking so we can adjust treatments accordingly.

We adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with local authority regulations and industry best practice.

7. Limitation of Liability

All treatments are carried out at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Beauty Lounge, its owner, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim, or expense (whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with any treatment or service provided, including but not limited to:

Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall in no event exceed the price paid for the specific treatment giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Complaints & Aftercare

We take great pride in the quality of our treatments and your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your treatment, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment so that we can address your concerns promptly.

We will endeavour to resolve complaints fairly and in a timely manner. Where appropriate, we may offer a complimentary corrective treatment at our discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

It is your responsibility to follow any aftercare advice provided. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect your results and will be taken into account when assessing any complaint.

9. Conduct & Home Salon Environment

As The Beauty Lounge operates from a private residential premises, we ask all clients to be respectful of the property and the surrounding neighbourhood. We reserve the right to terminate any appointment and ask a client to leave if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or disruptive.

Photography, video recording, or audio recording within the premises is not permitted without prior written consent.

Children are not permitted during appointments unless they are the client receiving treatment and are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of The Beauty Lounge and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

11. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable for cash, and cannot be extended beyond the expiry date. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. Any unused balance remaining after a treatment cannot be redeemed for cash.

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, government restrictions, power failure, adverse weather conditions, or other events of force majeure.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
